The Imperial Navy and Royal Navy refer to the naval forces of the German Empire and the United Kingdom, respectively. The Imperial Navy, established in 1871, was Germany’s maritime force aimed at building a powerful navy to compete with Britain and secure global influence. The Royal Navy is the United Kingdom’s naval service, one of the world's oldest and most historically significant naval forces, responsible for protecting British interests worldwide. Both played crucial roles in their nations’ military and strategic operations, especially during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including World War I.
