Impassibility

Impassibility refers to the idea that a being—often in theological or philosophical contexts—does not experience or undergo change, suffering, or emotional distress. For example, some conceptions of God suggest that God is impassible, meaning God remains unaffected by events, feelings, or actions that happen in the world. This quality emphasizes a kind of perfect stability, where the being is unaltered by external circumstances, maintaining constant nature or existence without being moved or affected internally.
