Immunodeficiency diseases

Immunodeficiency diseases are conditions where the immune system, which defends the body against infections, doesn't work properly. This can be due to genetic factors or outbreaks of disease that damage immune cells. As a result, people with these conditions are more vulnerable to infections, sometimes more severe or harder to treat. Some immunodeficiencies are present from birth (primary), while others develop later in life (secondary). Managing these diseases often involves treatments to boost immune function, prevent infections, or replace missing immune components, helping individuals maintain better health despite their immune challenges.
