Imfinzi

Imfinzi (durvalumab) is a medicine used to treat certain cancers, primarily lung cancer. It works by helping the immune system recognize and attack cancer cells more effectively. Normally, cancer cells can hide from the immune system, but Imfinzi blocks a specific protein that tumors use to avoid immune detection. By doing so, it boosts the body's natural ability to fight the cancer. It is typically given to patients after initial treatments or for specific types of advanced cancer, aiming to improve outcomes and extend survival.
