Image Capture Process
The image capture process involves a camera using a lens to focus light from a scene onto a sensor. When you press the shutter button, the camera's sensor records the incoming light, converting it into electronic signals. These signals are then processed by the camera’s internal computer, which adjusts for color, brightness, and sharpness before saving the image as a digital file. In essence, the camera captures the visual information in a scene through optics, translates it into electronic data, and stores it so you can view or share the photo later.
