Illyrian Civilization
The Illyrian civilization thrived in the western Balkans from around 2000 BCE to the 1st century CE. They were a collection of tribes known for their warrior culture, metalworking, and distinct art. Illyrians had their own language and religious beliefs, and they often clashed with neighboring civilizations like the Greeks and Romans. They played a significant role as intermediaries and competitors in the region, eventually being absorbed into the Roman Empire. Though less well-documented, their legacy influences Balkan history, and archaeological finds reveal their craftsmanship and societal organization.
