IL-10 Deficiency

IL-10 deficiency refers to a lack of the immune system protein interleukin-10 (IL-10), which normally helps regulate inflammation and prevent excessive immune responses. Without enough IL-10, the immune system can become overactive, leading to chronic inflammation and tissue damage. This deficiency can result in inflammatory disorders, such as inflammatory bowel disease, and increase susceptibility to infections.
