Ikenobō School
Ikenobō School is a traditional Japanese school specializing in the art of Ikebana, the disciplined craft of flower arranging. Founded in the 15th century at the Rokkaku-do Temple in Kyoto, it emphasizes harmony, balance, and simplicity by arranging flowers and natural materials to reflect the changing seasons and deepen appreciation of nature. Rooted in Buddhist philosophy, Ikenobō promotes mindfulness and spiritual connection through its practice. Today, it is the oldest and most prominent Ikebana school worldwide, teaching techniques and principles that blend aesthetics, philosophy, and craftsmanship to create meaningful floral expressions.
