IIED Claims

Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress (IIED) is a legal claim for cases where someone’s extreme or outrageous behavior intentionally causes severe emotional suffering to another person. To succeed, the affected person must prove the conduct was egregious, intentional or reckless, and that it resulted in significant emotional harm. IIED claims are often used in situations involving harassment, threats, or malicious actions that go beyond normal conflicts. Essentially, it’s a way to seek legal remedy when someone’s extraordinary conduct damages your emotional well-being intentionally.
