Iguanodon

Iguanodon was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived around 126 to 113 million years ago during the Cretaceous period. It was one of the first dinosaurs scientifically described, known for its distinctive thumb spike, which likely helped defend itself or forage. Iguanodon was roughly 10 meters (33 feet) long and weighed several tons. It had a bulky body, a beak-like mouth, and likely moved on two legs but could also walk on four. Its fossils have been found in Europe, providing important insights into dinosaur evolution and diversity during its era.
