IELTS Score Band
An IELTS score band is a scale from 1 to 9 that indicates a person's English language proficiency, with each band representing a level of ability. Band 1 means you have no English skills, while Band 9 signifies an expert user who can understand and communicate fluently in almost any situation. Most employers, universities, or immigration authorities specify a required band score to determine if you meet their English language standards. The score is based on performance across four areas: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, and the overall band is an average of these four scores.
