IEEE 802.3at
IEEE 802.3at, also known as Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), is a standard that allows electrical power to be delivered over Ethernet cables alongside data. This enables network devices like cameras, phones, and wireless access points to be powered without separate power supplies, simplifying installation and reducing clutter. PoE+ can provide up to approximately 30 watts of power per device, supporting more devices and higher power needs than the earlier PoE standard. It ensures safe, reliable power delivery over standard Ethernet infrastructure, making network setups more flexible and easier to manage.
