IEEE 802.1ah

IEEE 802.1ah, also known as Provider Backbone Bridges (PBB), is a networking standard designed to improve the way large service providers handle massive amounts of customer data. It enables multiple customers' traffic to be transported securely over shared service provider networks by adding an extra layer of identification within Ethernet frames.
