IDH inhibitors

IDH inhibitors are specialized medicines designed to target and block specific abnormal proteins called IDH enzymes, which are found in some cancer cells, particularly certain brain and blood cancers. When these enzymes are mutated, they produce substances that help cancer grow and survive. By inhibiting (blocking) the mutated IDH enzymes, these drugs can slow or stop the cancer's progression. This targeted approach aims to attack the cancer more precisely, often leading to better outcomes with fewer side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy.
