Id, Ego, Superego (Sigmund Freud)

Sigmund Freud’s model of the mind divides it into three parts: the Id, Ego, and Superego. The Id is the primal, unconscious part driven by basic urges and desires like hunger and pleasure. The Ego is the rational, conscious part that mediates between these desires and reality, making decisions based on practicality. The Superego represents internalized moral standards and societal rules, guiding us to behave ethically. Together, these elements shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, balancing instinctual urges with moral considerations and realistic responses.
