ICP-OES

ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry) is a technique used to analyze the elemental composition of a sample. The sample is first dissolved in a liquid and then introduced into a high-temperature plasma, which ionizes the atoms. As these excited atoms return to a lower energy state, they emit light at specific wavelengths unique to each element. A spectrometer detects this light, allowing precise identification and quantification of elements present, even at very low concentrations. It’s widely used in environmental testing, manufacturing, and research for accurate elemental analysis.
