Ichthyosaur
Ichthyosaurs were marine reptiles that lived approximately 250 to 90 million years ago, during the age of dinosaurs. They resembled modern dolphins with streamlined bodies, long snouts, and large eyes, adapted for fast swimming and deep-sea hunting. They were not dinosaurs but reptiles that evolved to thrive in oceans, feeding on fish and squid. Ichthyosaurs gave birth to live young, indicating they were well-adapted to aquatic life. Their fossils help scientists understand marine ecosystems of the Mesozoic era and show how reptiles adapted to life in the oceans millions of years ago.
