Ice Age Fossils

Ice Age fossils are remains of plants and animals that lived during the Pleistocene Epoch, roughly 2.6 million to around 11,700 years ago, when large parts of the Earth were covered in ice. These fossils provide insights into ancient ecosystems and climate conditions. They include well-known creatures like woolly mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and giant ground sloths. Scientists study these fossils to understand how species adapted to cold environments, the impact of climate change, and extinction events. Ice Age fossils also help reconstruct the Earth's history and improve our knowledge of past biodiversity.
