Ibrance

Ibrance (palbociclib) is a medication used to treat certain types of advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It works by blocking specific proteins (CDK4 and CDK6) that cancer cells need to grow and divide. By inhibiting these proteins, Ibrance helps slow or stop tumor growth. It is often prescribed alongside hormone therapy for hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer, which tends to grow in response to hormones like estrogen.
