IATTC

The Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC) is an international organization that manages and conserves tuna and other marine species in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Its goal is to ensure sustainable fishing practices, prevent overfishing, and protect fish populations and their ecosystems. Member countries collaborate to set fishing quotas, monitor catches, and implement regulations. By doing so, the IATTC helps balance the economic benefits of fishing with the health of marine life, ensuring that future generations can also benefit from abundant, healthy fish stocks.
