Hysteroscopic Sterilization
Hysteroscopic sterilization is a minimally invasive procedure for birth control that blocks the fallopian tubes, preventing pregnancy. It is performed through the vagina and cervix using a thin camera (hysteroscope). Small devices are inserted into the tubes, causing scar tissue to form over time, which seals them shut. This method does not require incisions or general anesthesia, leads to quick recovery, and is highly effective. Typically, women may need to use a backup method until confirmation that their tubes are fully blocked, usually after a few months.
