Hypomania
Hypomania is a milder form of mania characterized by a noticeable increase in energy, activity, and mood that lasts at least four days. People experiencing hypomania often feel exceptionally good, confident, and more productive, but without severe disorientation or delusional thinking. While it can lead to positive achievements, it may also cause impulsive decisions and strained relationships. Hypomania is part of bipolar disorder and typically does not cause the severe disruptions or need for hospitalization associated with full manic episodes. Recognizing hypomania is important for managing mood stability and preventing escalation into more serious episodes.
