Hypervisor

A hypervisor is software that allows one physical computer (the host) to run multiple virtual computers (virtual machines) simultaneously. Think of it as a manager that divides the physical resources—such as CPU, memory, and storage—among several virtual systems, each operating independently. This enables efficient use of hardware, simplifies management, and allows for testing or running different operating systems on a single machine. Hypervisors are commonly used in data centers and cloud services to maximize hardware utilization and provide flexible, isolated environments for various applications.
