Hyperfocal Distance

Hyperfocal distance is the closest distance at which a camera lens can be focused while keeping everything from half that distance to infinity in sharp focus. When you focus your lens at this point, your photo will be sharp from a point halfway to the hyperfocal distance all the way to the distant horizon. It’s a useful concept in landscape and outdoor photography, helping maximize depth of field to ensure both foreground and distant objects are clear. Essentially, it allows you to optimize focus to capture wide scenes sharply without needing to focus precisely on each subject.
