Hydrolox
Hydrolox refers to a type of rocket fuel made from liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. These fuels are stored separately and combined in the rocket’s engine to produce powerful thrust. Because both are very cold liquids, they need special insulated tanks and handling procedures. Hydrolox engines are efficient and provide high specific impulse, making them ideal for space exploration missions that require maximum performance. This combination has been used in several launch vehicles, including the Space Shuttle’s main engines and the upper stages of certain rockets, enabling deep-space travel and satellite deployment.
