hydrocyclones

A hydrocyclone is a device that separates particles from liquids using centrifugal force. When a mixture of slurry (liquid with solids) enters the cyclone, it spins rapidly inside a cone-shaped chamber. This spinning action pushes denser particles outward to the wall, causing them to fall into a collection area at the bottom. Meanwhile, the clearer liquid exits from the center at the top. Hydrocyclones are widely used in mining, wastewater treatment, and manufacturing to efficiently classify and remove particles based on size and density without the need for filters or screens.
