Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs)

Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) combine a traditional internal combustion engine with an electric motor and a battery. This setup allows the vehicle to operate more efficiently by switching between or jointly using the engine and electric motor. When driving at low speeds or coasting, the electric motor can power the car, saving fuel and reducing emissions. The battery is charged through regenerative braking and by the engine. HEVs typically do not need to be plugged in, making them convenient and more environmentally friendly than conventional cars, while still offering the familiarity of gasoline-powered vehicles.
