Hwarang

Hwarang was an elite group of young male warriors and scholars in ancient Korea during the Silla Dynasty (57 BC–935 AD). They were trained in martial arts, art, philosophy, and leadership, embodying ideals like loyalty, bravery, and righteousness. Originally formed to unify and defend the kingdom, Hwarang also played a cultural role, promoting Confucian and Buddhist principles.
