Human prehistory

Human prehistory refers to the period before written records, covering the development of early humans from ancient ancestors in Africa around 2.5 million years ago to the advent of writing approximately 5,000 years ago. During this time, humans evolved physically and culturally, developing tools, language, fire use, art, and social structures. Prehistory is divided into the Paleolithic (Old Stone Age), Mesolithic, and Neolithic (New Stone Age). Studying artifacts, fossils, and archaeological sites helps us understand how humans adapted to their environments and laid the foundations for modern civilization.
