Human memory
Human memory is the process by which we encode, store, and retrieve information. It involves three main stages: sensory memory, which briefly holds incoming information; short-term memory, which temporarily keeps and works with data; and long-term memory, where information is stored more permanently. Memories are formed through neural connections in the brain, influenced by factors like repetition and emotional significance. Retrieval brings stored information back to conscious awareness. Overall, memory allows us to learn from experiences, adapt, and function effectively in daily life.
