Human Enterovirus
Human enteroviruses are a group of viruses that naturally infect humans and are part of the broader family of viruses called enteroviruses. They usually spread through contact with contaminated feces or secretions from an infected person, often via the mouth or hands. These viruses can cause a variety of illnesses, ranging from mild symptoms like sore throat and fever to more serious conditions such as meningitis, encephalitis, or hand-foot-mouth disease. Most infections are mild and resolve on their own, but in some cases, especially in vulnerable populations, they can lead to significant health issues.
