Hubal

Hubal was a pre-Islamic Arabian deity worshiped by the Quraysh tribe in Mecca. Often associated with divine protection and guidance, Hubal was depicted as a human-like figure made of red agate and was housed in the Kaaba, the sacred shrine that later became central to Islamic worship. Pilgrims would visit the shrine to seek Hubal's favor. With the rise of Islam in the 7th century, Hubal’s worship was abolished as part of the broader rejection of idolatry, aligning with the new monotheistic teachings of Islam under the prophet Muhammad, who emphasized the worship of a single God.
