HSL
HSL stands for Hue, Saturation, and Lightness, a way to describe colors. Hue refers to the color type, like red, blue, or green. Saturation indicates the intensity or purity of the color—more saturated means a vivid color, less saturated means more muted or grayish. Lightness measures how bright or dark the color is, with higher lightness being closer to white and lower being closer to black. HSL is often used in digital design and color editing because it allows intuitive control over the color's appearance by adjusting these three aspects separately.
