HS256

HS256, or HMAC SHA-256, is a security method used to verify the authenticity of information, such as a message or data, by using a secret key. It combines a specific hashing algorithm (SHA-256) with a secret shared between parties to produce a unique code called a signature. When sending data, the sender creates this signature, and the receiver can re-calculate it to confirm the data hasn't been altered and that it comes from a trusted source. It's widely used for securing communications and digital tokens in online systems.
