HPV-related Cancers
HPV-related cancers are cancers caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), a common virus transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, often during sexual activity. Certain types of HPV can lead to abnormal cell growth, resulting in cancers such as cervical, throat, anal, penile, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. Most HPV infections clear on their own without causing health problems, but some persistent infections can develop into cancer over time. Vaccination and regular screenings can significantly reduce the risk of HPV-related cancers by preventing infection and detecting abnormalities early.
