Horton’s headache
Horton's headache, also known as cluster headache, is a sudden and severe headache that occurs in cyclical patterns or "clusters," often lasting weeks or months. It typically causes intense pain around one eye, which may be accompanied by symptoms like redness, watering, nasal congestion, or swelling. These headaches are more common in men and tend to occur at the same time each day or during certain seasons. The exact cause isn’t fully understood but is believed to involve irregularities in the body's internal clock or hypothalamus. Treatment focuses on alleviating pain and preventing attacks.
