Honor Killing

Honor killing is a form of violence where family members, often relatives, murder a family member, usually a woman, to restore or protect the family's perceived honor. This act is typically carried out when the victim is believed to have brought shame or dishonor through behaviors such as resisting arranged marriage, pursuing education, or engaging in relationships disapproved by the family or community.
