
Homi Bhabha
Homi Bhabha was an influential Indian physicist, known as the "father of Indian nuclear science." Born in 1909, he played a crucial role in establishing India's nuclear program. Bhabha was instrumental in founding the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, which became a leading center for scientific research. His work in physics, particularly in particle physics and cosmic rays, contributed significantly to the field. Bhabha's vision and leadership helped India develop its nuclear capabilities while promoting scientific education and research, making him a key figure in India's scientific advancement during the 20th century. He tragically died in a plane crash in 1966.
