Homeowner's Associations

A Homeowner's Association (HOA) is an organization created by a community of homeowners to manage shared responsibilities and maintain the neighborhood's appearance and standards. Members typically pay regular fees to fund upkeep of communal areas, enforce community rules, and oversee amenities like parks, pools, or clubhouses. HOAs help ensure consistency in property values and community harmony, but they also set rules residents must follow. Participation is usually voluntary, and the association's authority is established through a legal agreement called the CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions).
