Homeostatic imbalance
Homeostatic imbalance occurs when the body's natural mechanisms that maintain stable conditions—like temperature, blood sugar, or fluid levels—fail to work properly. This disruption can lead to various health issues, as the body can’t effectively regulate vital functions. For example, if blood sugar levels are not kept in check, it may result in diabetes. Similarly, imbalances in hormones or body temperature can cause illness. Essentially, homeostatic imbalance means the body’s internal environment is no longer in balance, increasing the risk of disease and affecting overall health.
