Home Guards
Home Guards are voluntary security personnel who assist the police and local authorities in maintaining internal security and law and order within a country or region. Usually comprising local residents, they serve during emergencies, such as natural disasters, protests, or threats to public safety. Their duties include guarding public places, aiding in disaster response, and supporting police operations. Home Guards are trained and organized by the government but are not regular armed forces. They play a crucial role in strengthening community security, especially in times of crisis, by providing additional manpower and local knowledge.
