Holocaust reparations
Holocaust reparations are compensation payments and restitution measures provided to survivors and affected communities by governments and institutions to address the atrocities and economic harm caused by Nazi persecution during World War II. These reparations aim to acknowledge suffering, support survivors’ well-being, and promote historical accountability. They include financial payments, restitutions of property, and formal apologies. While they do not erase past atrocities, reparations serve as a moral and practical effort to recognize and mitigate some of the lasting impacts of the Holocaust.
