Hollywoodland
Hollywoodland was originally the name of a real estate development and a famous residential neighborhood in Los Angeles, known for its large, hillside homes and scenic views. The area became iconic as the home of the entertainment industry, with the Hollywood Sign (originally "Hollywoodland") erected in 1923 to promote a housing subdivision. Over time, "Hollywoodland" transitioned to simply "Hollywood," symbolizing the heart of the film and entertainment industry. Today, the name evokes the glamour and history of Hollywood’s cinematic culture, and remnants of the original sign are preserved as a historic landmark.
