Hohle Fels

Hohle Fels is a significant archaeological site in southwestern Germany, notable for its Paleolithic cave paintings and carvings dating back around 40,000 years. It contains some of the earliest known examples of figurative art, including sculptures of animals and human-like figures. The cave also provided important evidence of early human creativity and symbolic behavior, offering insights into the cognitive development of early modern humans. Its findings enhance our understanding of prehistoric art, culture, and the abilities of early humans living during the Ice Age.
