The Hobbesian State of Nature is a philosophical concept describing a hypothetical condition where individuals live without any government or society. In this state, there are no laws or protections, leading to constant insecurity, as everyone has the freedom to act according to their own interests. Hobbes believed that this situation would be marked by conflict, violence, and a "war of all against all," making life chaotic and unsafe. To escape this, people agree to establish a social contract, surrendering some freedoms to a sovereign authority to ensure peace and order.
