HMS Vanguard (S28)

HMS Vanguard (S28) was a British Type 23 Duke-class submarine, launched in the late 1980s. Designed for underwater warfare, it primarily targeted other submarines and ships using torpedoes and anti-ship missiles. Equipped with advanced sonar and sensors, it could operate stealthily for extended periods beneath the surface. The submarine played a key role in modern naval defense, combining technological sophistication with strategic capabilities. After decommissioning in the early 2000s, it was eventually scrapped, marking the end of its service in the Royal Navy.
