HMS Centaur

HMS Centaur was a British Royal Navy aircraft carrier active from 1953 to 1969. As a large warship, it served as a floating airbase, capable of launching and recovering aircraft to project naval power, provide air cover, and support military operations internationally. Equipped with a flight deck and aircraft, it played a key role during the Cold War era, including deterrence and showing naval strength. After decommissioning, it was sold for scrap.
