HMHS Britannic
HMHS Britannic was a large British hospital ship, originally built as a passenger liner before being converted for medical use during World War I. It was designed to carry wounded soldiers and provide medical treatment at sea. The ship was notable for its size, advanced safety features, and role in transporting and caring for injured personnel. Unfortunately, it sank in 1916 after hitting a mine in the Aegean Sea, making it the largest ship lost during the war. Today, it’s remembered both for its wartime service and as a maritime historical site.
