HMAS Ovens (submarine)

HMAS Ovens was an Australian Oberon-class submarine served from 1969 to 1990. It was designed for underwater patrols, intelligence gathering, and defense operations during the Cold War. The submarine is about 91 meters long, powered by diesel and electric engines, and capable of staying submerged for extended periods. Ovens played a key role in Australia's naval strategy, helping monitor regional tensions and maintaining maritime security. After decommissioning, it was preserved as a museum in Western Australia, allowing the public to learn about submarine technology and Australia's naval history.
