HMAS Canberra (I)
HMAS Canberra (I) was an Australian battleship commissioned in 1914, part of the Royal Navy’s fleet during World War I. Named after the Australian capital, Canberra, it was a formidable warship equipped with large guns, designed to engage enemy vessels and protect allied shipping. The ship participated in key battles, including the Battle of Jutland, and supported naval operations across Europe. After the war, it served as a training vessel before being decommissioned in 1921 and eventually scrapped. HMAS Canberra (I) symbolized Australia's growing naval capabilities during the early 20th century.
